Bus awnings
Coach awnings - more space and comfort when camping
Camping in a coach can be really cosy, but sometimes there just isn't enough space. A bus awning makes your camping adventure even more comfortable. Whether you need more space for cooking, eating or sleeping - our bus awnings create the extra space and offer flexibility and comfort in any weather.
Don't forget the all-important storage space - space is always at a premium when camping. Practical organisers for easy installation in the bus awning can provide additional storage.
Choose your perfect coach awning
Coach awnings are designed to fit different vehicle types and heights. Most have an installation height of between 175 - 220 cm.
Choosing the right tent depends on your individual needs, the weather and your holiday destination. Here are some tips for your bus awning purchase:
- Free-standing coach awnings offer you maximum flexibility.
- If you're in a hurry, our inflatable coach awnings are ideal.
- A small canopy on your bus awning protects you from bad weather and dirt.
- Fixed bus awnings are particularly stable and often utilise your vehicle's auxiliary heating.
Inflatable vs. conventional bus awnings
You have the choice between inflatable and conventional bus awnings. Our inflatable models are quick and easy to set up. Many have an integrated pump that makes inflation child's play.
The right material for your bus awning
Resistance to wind and water is crucial. In summer, our tear-resistant polyester is perfect, and our PU coating offers excellent rain protection. The water column, which indicates rainproofness, should be at least 3,000 mm, depending on your destination and the weather forecast.
The tent colour is also important. In sunny regions, a light-coloured tent can reduce heating.
Water column at a glance:
1.500 mm according to the DIN standard is considered waterproof. We recommend at least 3,000 mm to withstand heavy rain. The floor of your bus awning should have a water column of at least 8,000 mm.
Care and storage of your bus awning
To keep your tent in top condition, make sure it is completely dry before storage - never store a wet bus awning. Please do not wash it in the washing machine as this can damage the coating. Dirt can be easily removed with a damp cloth.
