Lots of space with little weight
The Alto TR2 trekking tent from Sea to Summit offers plenty of space in the tent thanks to the new Tension Ridge architecture. With this new technology, the two cross poles are bent upwards at the highest point of the inner tent, not downwards as with other tents. This creates more space in the tent and it is 108 cm high at the highest point. The doors are also higher, making it easier to get in and out of the tent. The two entrances with the vestibules in front of them ensure a high degree of flexibility. Here, too, you have more space for your equipment or as a cooking area.The low weight of just 1.34 kg is achieved by using only very light materials such as DAC Featherlite aluminium poles and 15D nylon fabric.
Easy assembly
The DAC Featherlite aluminium poles are fully connected and colour-coded at the ends, making assembly very easy. The colour-coded pole ends are inserted into the ends provided on the tent. Sea to Summit has refined the Quick-Connect Pole Feets even further. Milled aluminium clips make attaching the flysheet quick and easy with one hand and they are also much more durable than conventional plastic buckles.The Alto TR2 tent can also be pitched and used without the flysheet when the weather is fine. Thanks to the mesh inner tent, you are optimally ventilated and protected from mosquitoes in the open air. However, only the outer tent can be pitched without the inner tent.
Optimum ventilation
The Apex Vents are located at the highest point of the Alto TR2 tent. These vents allow warm, moist air to escape from the tent. If necessary, the Apex Vent can be closed from the inside with a zip. Adjustable openings on the doors (baseline vents) make it possible to control the air flow and condensation in wet conditions without rain getting into the tent. The combination of Apex Vents and Baseline Vents creates a chimney effect, allowing cool air to enter the tent from below and warm air to escape at the highest point of the tent.New pack sack system
The Fair-Share Storage consists of three different pack sacks in which you can pack the tent. This allows the weight to be well distributed. The pack sacks can be stowed together or individually.When the tent is pitched, you can attach two pack sacks to the inner tent and use them as bags for your equipment. The pole packsack converts into a lightbar. Simply attach it to the top of the tent, insert one or two headlamps and the transparent diffuser illuminates the tent from above.
