The lightweight Edelrid Giga Jul belay device is the most versatile of all time. It is a tuber and autotuber in one. In autotuber mode, you can quickly release the rope by "holding open" the device with your thumb. An intelligent mechanism allows the braking force-supporting autotuber function to be switched on or off. The body of the Giga Jul belay device is made of lightweight aluminium, while areas that are more prone to abrasion are made of stainless steel. An additional eyelet allows the device to be easily unlocked in belay mode using a carabiner.
