The Sirrus 44 from Osprey is an excellent hiking backpack that is equipped with all the important comfort features. The soft mesh fabric of the Airspeed mesh back has been seamlessly stretched into the hip belt so that no annoying seams can rub or pinch. The back system is infinitely adjustable so that it always fits perfectly. When the Sirrus 44 is packed, you have several options for accessing your items in the main compartment. If they are at the top, open the lid; if they are in the middle, you can access them via a zip on the side. The advantage of side access is that you don't have to lay your rucksack on the ground with your back and your T-shirt or jacket won't get dirty. You can also access the sleeping bag compartment via the zip. The Sirrus has the Stow-on-the-Go™ attachment system so that you don't have to take it off when you want to stow your trekking poles. This is an additional pole holder directly on the carrier. There is also a zipped pocket on each side of the hip belt so that you always have your compass, mobile phone or energy bar to hand. As it is advisable to drink a lot on longer tours, there is a hydration bladder compartment. You can also stow a water bottle or umbrella in the mesh pockets on the side. The integrated, removable rain cover keeps your things dry, even when the weather turns.
