Freestanding dome tent with ridge pole
The Boulder 2 from Robens is a trekking tent for 2 people. With this model, the inner tent is pitched first. The classic dome construction makes the tent freestanding. To make the best possible use of the space in the inner tent, the inner tent is attached to the ridge pole in the centre. This makes the side walls steeper and provides more headroom. When the flysheet is then placed over the standing construction, the ridge pole creates 2 vestibules on the sides of the entrancesFlexibility and storage space
The 2 entrances make the Boulder 2 absolutely flexible in use. If you are travelling as a couple, you can each get out of or into the tent on one side without having to crawl over each other. The flysheet creates 2 large vestibules that can be used as storage space or for cooking in bad weather.
